I don't think it's escaped anyone's notice that things aren't exactly rosy with our economy right now. As someone who has recently been through a tough couple of years navigating the job market, I'm as aware as anyone how difficult things are out there for both employers and employees.

We are in a position where we should be encouraging growth, of small and medium-sized businesses, however for some of these businesses, hiring has never been tougher. Between NI hikes, navigating job boards, trying to organise interviews, the list of fires to fight can seem never-ending.

This is where the idea of Opsmith is borne from. Opsmith is a new business focused on creating practical, ready-to-use business templates, tools and resources designed to make everyday processes just that little bit easier, and that little bit more accessible.

The idea is simple: save businesses time, reduce admin, give people better tools to work with, and above all make them affordable to those just get their first few hires through the door.

I’ve spent years working in recruitment and operations, and I’ve seen first-hand how much time can be lost creating spreadsheets, documents and processes from scratch, or trying to make existing ones work. Everywhere I have been I have had to build something along these lines in one form or another, and I've seen the positive effect having this sort of structure and experience can create in the hiring process.

Every business. no matter the size, deserves the chance to grow.
